For over 10 years I’ve worked as a freelance theatre maker and performer on stage and television. The first thing you’ll notice about me is I’m 4 ft 11 & a half (the half is very important!). Originally, I’m from New Zealand, but moved to the North West when I was 8 years old and now live in Manchester. I’m a proud northerner, passionate about creating theatrical work in the north.

I’m an Associate Practitioner with the renowned Spymonkey and an Associate Artist with Storm in the North and Bluestocking Theatre. My fingers are in many pies(!) including writing, directing, movement direction and singing songs I’ve written on my guitar. I like to think my experience in all of the above helps me to adapt to whatever project I’m working on.

I am passionate about accessible theatre that brings us together to celebrate and be curious about what it is to be human. I specialise in physical theatre, new writing, clowning, comedy and devising.

Thank you for checking out my website – it’s a work in progress and always the last thing to do on my to do list, but it gives you an idea! I also have my Spotlight Acting CV here: www.spotlight.com/9250-9082-1006

I’m always interested in hearing about new creative projects, so please feel free to email me: josiecerise@hotmail.com and we can chat!
